Arranmore Car Ferry
Arranmore Ferry has been operating a car ferry and passenger ferry service between Burtonport and Arranmore Island for over 30 years. All car ferry vessels are fully certified by the Marine Survey Office and are maintained to the highest of standards. The crossing takes just 20 minutes. Passengers can enjoy a scenic sailing as the Arranmore Ferry navigates through a number of small islands before arriving at Arranmore Island. Along the way it is common to spot seals, birds and dolphins which frequent the waters around Arranmore Island.

Our staff are fully qualified and are always on hand to assist in ensuring that your crossing is both comfortable and enjoyable. We are committed to making travel on our vessels as easy and comfortable as possible. This includes any passengers with reduced mobility and special needs.
Tickets can be purchased online here, or at our booking office at Burtonport Pier or on board the vessel. During the summer months it is advised to book your ticket prior to departure.
We can accommodate all sizes of groups at a competitive rate and can also arrange accommodation and activities for the duration of your stay on the island.
The Arranmore Car and Passenger Ferry Service has been operating a Fleet for many years
The M.V. Rhum is the main ferry vessel that operates the route from Burtonport to Arranmore Island. The vessel can carry up to 96 passengers and all sizes of vehicles. There are both indoor and outdoor passenger decks. We also offer free WiFi to all passengers.
The M.V. Coll is a sister ship to the M.V. Rhum and can also cater for up to 96 passengers and all sizes of vehicles. The vessel operates a cargo ferry service to Tory Island which lies 14.5km off the coast. The M.V. Coll is available for charter and can service all the islands off Donegal.
Spirit of Lough Swilly
The Spirit of Lough Swilly or Swilly Ferry operates a summer schedule from Buncrana to Rathmullan, Co. Donegal. The vessel is a roll on/roll off double ended car ferry which can cater for up to 130 passengers and 18 cars.
